DISCLAIMER
Last updated: July 24, 2026
This page sets out the limits of what The Gadget Verse publishes and
what you can reasonably rely on it for. It applies to every page,
article, comparison, and recommendation on https://thegadgetverse.com/.
If you are looking for how we make money, that is on our Affiliate
Disclosure page. If you are looking for how we research, that is on our
Methodology page.
WHAT THIS SITE IS
The Gadget Verse publishes research-led buying guides and comparisons
covering PC peripherals — keyboards, mice, monitors, audio equipment,
and webcams.
We are an independent publisher. We are a research-led publication, not
a hands-on testing laboratory. We do not claim to have physically tested
every product we cover, and we do not write as though we have. Our
articles are built by collecting, cross-checking, and interpreting
published specifications, measurements from independent testing
organisations, and documented user reports. Our Methodology page
explains this in detail.
Everything published here is general information and opinion. It is not
a substitute for your own judgement, your own research, or advice from a
qualified professional.
ACCURACY AND CHANGES OVER TIME
We check every technical claim against multiple independent sources
before publishing, and we identify the source of any measurement we
quote. Even so, we cannot guarantee that everything on this site is
complete, current, or free from error.
Some specific limitations worth knowing about:
Manufacturers revise products silently. A keyboard sold under the same
name and model number this year may use a different switch, a different
controller, or different keycap plastic than the one reviewed last year.
Where we know about a revision, we say so. We will not always know.
Specifications published by manufacturers are sometimes wrong or
optimistic. Where an independent measurement contradicts a manufacturer
figure, we report both and say which we consider more reliable. That is
a judgement, and judgements can be mistaken.
Retail listings frequently mismatch. The variant shown on a product
listing is not always the variant described in its title or images. We
try to flag known variant traps, but you should confirm the exact model,
switch type, layout, and regional version before ordering.
Prices and availability are not published on this site and change
constantly. Anything we say about where a product sits in the market is
a general description, not a quotation.
Articles carry a publication or update date. Treat anything without a
recent date as a historical snapshot rather than current advice.
NO PROFESSIONAL ADVICE
Nothing on this site is professional advice of any kind. In particular:
Health and ergonomics. We write about wrist rests, vertical mice,
split and ergonomic keyboards, monitor height and viewing distance, and
similar topics. This is general information only. It is not medical
advice, physiotherapy advice, or occupational-health advice, and it is
not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. No peripheral prevents, treats, or
cures repetitive strain injury, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinopathy,
eye strain, or any other condition.
If you have pain, numbness, tingling, weakness, persistent headaches,
or vision problems, see a doctor, physiotherapist, or optometrist.
Do not delay getting help because you are waiting to try a different
mouse. Persistent symptoms need a professional assessment, not a
purchase.
Hearing. We cover headphones, headsets, speakers, and microphones.
Prolonged exposure to high volume can cause permanent hearing damage,
and no product on this site changes that. Nothing here is audiological
advice.
Other areas. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, tax,
warranty, insurance, or safety advice. Articles that touch on warranty
terms, import duties, regional stock, or consumer rights are general
description only, and those rules differ by country and change over
time. Check the current position for your own jurisdiction.
MODIFICATIONS, REPAIRS, AND WARRANTY
Some of our content discusses opening, lubricating, modifying,
re-soldering, flashing firmware, or otherwise altering hardware.
Doing any of this may void your warranty, damage the device
permanently, or cause injury. Soldering irons, lubricants, and small
components carry their own risks. You are responsible for assessing
whether you have the skill, tools, and workspace to attempt something
safely. If in doubt, do not.
We are not responsible for damage to hardware, loss of data, voided
warranties, or injury arising from modification or repair work.
THIRD-PARTY BRANDS, RETAILERS, AND LINKS
This site links to manufacturer documentation, independent testing
organisations, standards bodies, community discussions, and retailers.
We do not control any of those sites and are not responsible for their
content, accuracy, availability, security, or privacy practices. A link
is not an endorsement of everything on the site it points to.
We are not the seller of any product discussed here. Purchases,
payments, delivery, warranty claims, returns, and refunds are matters
between you and the retailer or manufacturer. Their terms apply, not
ours. If something goes wrong with an order, we have no ability to
resolve it and no access to your order.
Product names, brand names, logos, and trademarks belong to their
respective owners and are used for identification and reference only.
Their use does not indicate affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.
USER-SUBMITTED CONTENT
Where comments or reader submissions are enabled, the views expressed
belong to the person who wrote them and not to The Gadget Verse. We do
not verify reader claims about product behaviour, failure rates, or
customer service experiences. We may edit or remove submissions at our
discretion.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The content on this site is provided as is, without warranties of any
kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for
a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Gadget Verse and
its contributors accept no liability for any loss or damage arising
from use of this site or reliance on its content, including
disappointment with a purchase, incompatibility, financial loss, lost
time, or damage to equipment.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits liability where the law
does not permit it — including liability for death or personal injury
caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Consumer protection law in your country may give you rights that this
page cannot take away, and it does not attempt to.
Your decision to buy any product is your own. We give you our reasoning
and our sources so that you can check the reasoning rather than take it
on trust.
CORRECTIONS
If something here is wrong, tell us at contact@thegadgetverse.com.
We correct errors on the page itself and note the date of the
correction rather than editing silently. Reader corrections have changed
articles on this site before, and we would rather hear about a mistake
than not.
CHANGES TO THIS DISCLAIMER
We may update this page. When we do, the date at the top will change,
and material changes will be noted on the site. This version applies
from the date shown above. Continuing to use the site does not by itself
constitute agreement to changes; where your agreement is legally
required for something, we will ask for it.
